Building a Better Community Through Affordable Home Ownership

Committees and Special Events

Check our events calendar regularly to see the different types of special events we have planned! Contact us to get involved.

Non-Construction volunteers play an important role within Habitat NOVA! We are constantly in need of volunteers with various skill sets to assist with our different departments, including:

  • Administrative Support — Our offices are open Monday-Friday and we offer flexible scheduling.
  • Photography — Professional photographers are needed on an occasional basis at a build site or at a special event.
  • Community Ambassador — Help us at special events like community fairs and housing shows.

To volunteer in any of the above capacities, please contact Liz Salter at Contact: Liz SalterVolunteer and Events Coordinator. To sign up for construction or ReStore volunteer opportunities, please click here.

In addition, we have volunteer opportunities with our committees.  Board Committees support our mission by providing guidance, volunteer capacity and are the training and recruiting ground for Board members.  Committees typically meet once a month. Their membership is composed of Board members, non-Board members, and a staff liaison. Committees make recommendations to the Board, which makes final decisions. To volunteer, please contact the staff liaison listed for the committee or subcommittee.
